LESCO SMS, Email and WhatsApp Services

Many Lahori face the same problem every month. The bill arrives late, due date passed and an extra late payment charge added. This does not happen because people don’t want to pay it on time. It happens because consumers do not get bill information on time.

Lesco understands this problem and that is why it offers Lesco e-billing service and online billing systems. These services are designed to keep consumers informed timely. Lets understand all these services one by one, how to use them and benefits of these services.

Lesco e-billing service

Why LESCO Introduced Digital Bill Services

As you know, paper bills are not always reliable. Sometimes it is delivered late, can be misplaced or no one is available at home to receive it from the postman. According to Lesco records over the years many consumers complained for fines even though they were ready to pay. That is why Lesco introduced this digital billing system so consumers can know their bill early without depending on paper bill delivery.

LESCO SMS Service

The sms service is the most commonly used option because it works on any mobile even without internet connection.

What the SMS Service Actually Does

Once you registered your mobile number you will receive

  • A message of your consumed units when your meter reading will be taken,
  • A message when your bill will be generated
  • A total bill amount with due date
  • A notification message if there will be a power shutdown in your area

The message is short, but it gives you enough time to plan.

Who Should Use SMS Service?

  • People who don’t have smartphones
  • Users in areas where is weak internet

From my experience, users who rely on SMS alerts are less likely to miss their due dates.
